A short conversation with Customer Operations Director, Adelle Hughes.
Adelle lives in Rochdale with her husband, Chris and their daughter Poppy, who is 9. I like chocolate and vodka and chocolate vodka. Weekends usually settle around Poppy’s activities, like dancing and gymnastics. Although I am partial for going to the pub for nice meals. I also love going on holidays

Tell us a little about yourself.

Adelle Hughes:

I have been with my husband, Chris, since I was 14 years old. I went straight to work at 16 after my GCSEs and have worked my way up.

Mobysoft:

What are you looking forward to doing most when lockdown eases?

Adelle Hughes:

Going on holiday, I love sunshine beach resort holidays with some activities for Poppy and I love visiting Turkey.

In a sentence what is the purpose of your role?

Adelle Hughes:

To ensure customers process on time, that their configuration is optimised and aligned to their own business practices. That any queries they submit are responded to in effective and efficient manner

Mobysoft:

What does your role involve in terms of tasks and activities?

Adelle Hughes:

Monitoring customer processing and sanity checking reports to ensure all customers auto-run smoothly and efficiently.

Check configuration for customers based on their local set up to ensure set up is optimal based on their configured rules. Manage changes to customer systems, test accuracy of reports with customers. Roll out new features like Breathing Space, help deliver modules such as former tenants’ arrears. Process management continuous improvement learning what can make process more secure and efficient. And manage three teams all under Customer Operations.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Adelle Hughes:

Monitoring customer processing and sanity checking reports to ensure all customers auto-run smoothly and efficiently.

No two days are the same; a lot of creative freedom to make decisions that will deliver improvements. I love working with all the teams and I have great relationships with my team members, and especially those people who go on and develop and get promoted within Mobysoft.

Having worked at Mobysoft and lived in Manchester for 7 years, this year I relocated to Birmingham to be with my family.
