In addition to the cost of living crisis, Scottish landlords face further pressure in delivering the Government’s strategy on Housing to 2040, when currently rental income is frozen at April 2022 levels.
However, in Scotland the situation to date has been managed well by RSLs; in that over the last 12 months, there are 7% fewer tenants in arrears. But in terms of looking forward how can RSLs maintain services and performance whilst their costs are rising at a faster rate than their income.
