Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Mobysoft Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030.

It is worth noting that Mobysoft does not have any public procurement contracts with a full life value of £5,000,000.00 and therefore is not required to present its carbon reduction plans and commitment to Net Zero by 2050. Mobysoft does this because it feels sustainability is a key global issue and we would like to help.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Current Emissions Reporting

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 26.055 tCO2e by 2026. This is a reduction of 10%.

Carbon Reduction Projects

1. Employee behaviour programme

a. Mobysoft has commenced an employee behaviour programme of work to help educate employees on how to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. E.g. by turning of lights and laptops overnight. We anticipate this will help to achieve the 10% carbon reduction by 2026

2. Mobysoft is working with its current building provider – Bruntwood to better understand the buildings emissions and would note that Bruntwood has publicly committed to reducing its carbon intensity of spaces under its direct control by 100% by 2030, compared to a 2017/18 baseline.

3. Increasing use of technology for customer communication.

a. Mobysoft’s scope 3 emissions are generated from train and car travel as our account management team engages with our customer base. We are focusing on the continued use of technology to manage the requirement for in person vs virtual meetings to help contribute to a 10% reduction in our carbon emissions by 2026

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
